Cultural Center of Spain
It was created in 2003 and its goal is to democratize access to culture and make it an instrument of cooperation and development.
A wide cultural proposal is offered: library services and media-labs, with a growing collection of books, magazines, films and records, exhibitions, conferences, film screenings, theatre, music or dance shows, which help to give to know the diversity of Spanish and local cultural production.
It also has a cafeteria on the top floor and a rooftop where outdoor activities are carried out in spring and summer.
In the building where the Cultural Center is currently located, built at the beginning of the 20th century, “Casa Mojana” commercial establishment worked, which offered hardware, glass, paint, locksmith, stationery and bazaar services. Today the building reflect the past and modern function and uses old and new materials, combining history and contemporary spirit.
In 1996 the building was declared a National Historic Monument.
