Familia Dardanelli Winery
Tourist experience recommended by the Montevideo Tourist Association.
The winery was founded in 1949 by Constante Dardanelli; years later his children began to use a new way of producing wine.
He was the creator of this 100% family business, where today the second, third and fourth generations are working together.
Its tradition is characterized by the wines made from the Muscatel grape of Hamburg, very common in our country. Several years ago, they began to develop new ways and technologies which led them to the production of fine wines.
Uruguay, known for its symbol, Tannat, was the first country to make 100% wines with this grape. As a winery, the main goal is to make wines based on that grape and therefore you will always find in each of its products an exponential of Tannat, each one with its own expression.
The tour of the winery is accompanied by someone from the Dardanelli family, who is responsible for transmitting the passion for what they do, giving a special mystique to the meeting. It ends with a guided tasting of a selection of its best wines.
The visit lasts approximately 1 hour and a half.
Visits are with reservation only, write to them at email@example.com or call (+598) 2222 0000.
