Museo y Jardín Botánico “Prof. Atilio Lombardo"

Inaugurated in 1902, the Botanical Garden of Montevideo is the only one in the country.

It consists of 132,500 square meters, where the flora of different geographical areas of the planet is exhibited and an extensive example of aquatic plants, plants from dry places and shade plants.

In addition to the amount of species that the Botanical Garden has, it has a museum that stands out for exhibiting an important flora, from the different geographical areas of the planet.

It also has a greenhouse, which is temporarily closed.

The Garden offers different activities throughout the year for the enjoyment of people of all ages.

Some of these activities are:

  •   Aerobic circuit
  •   Courses, talks and workshops about botany
  •   Gastronomic fairs
  •   Among other sports and cultural activities
