Inaugurated in 1981, it is an institution that preserves, studies, exhibits, disseminates the tangible and intangible maritime heritage of humanity for study, education and recreation purposes.

Accessibility

Blind and low-vision people can tour the museum rooms through wooden and metal guides, with 24 stations of naval ornaments that they can touch, some of them with sounds, and through informational signs in Braille that give them details of the selected collection.

In addition, the museum has a ramp that allows the entry of elderly people and people with motor disabilities.
