Tango reflects the cultural brotherhood between Montevideo and Buenos Aires. Testimony of this, is the shared distinction of Intangible Heritage of Humanity, declared by UNESCO in 2009.

It is located on the ground floor of Salvo Palace, where “La Giralda” patisserie used to be at the beginning of the 20th century and where “La Cumparsita”, the famous tango written by Gerardo Matos Rodríguez, was played for the first time.
